Russo Development designed a multifamily building that is planned for construction in Rahway, NJ. The project must meet the New Jersey commercial energy code compliance at the permit stage and pursued compliance under ASHRAE 90.1–2019, using the Chapter 11 pathway.
ReVireo performed the energy modeling during the design phase for Russo Development, to verify that the systems and building specifications proposed for the project, would meet the minimum requirements in the model. By leveraging the Chapter 11 pathway, the design team maintained flexibility, saved on building specifications costs, all while achieving the needed efficiency levels. The proposed design passed energy code compliance with an estimated 8.3% cost savings over code.
