Roxborough Memorial Hospital

Overview

Roxborough Memorial Hospital is a 347,961-square-foot hospital campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, consisting of five buildings: main hospital building, School of Nursing, medical office building, boiler house, and auditorium. The project pursued ENERGY STAR® Verification and Certification in alignment with compliance requirements under the City of Philadelphia’s Building Energy Performance Program (BEPP), including completion of the High-Performance Building Worksheet.

• ENERGY STAR® certification application and project submission
• On-site performance testing, including:
  • Indoor air quality (CO₂)
  • Temperature and relative humidity
  • Lighting levels
• Completion of the High-Performance Building Worksheet for BEPP compliance

Given the campus’s age and system complexity, including gas boilers, chiller plant, steam heat exchanger, and a building management system (BMS), ReVireo translated existing upgrades into verified performance outcomes. The campus achieved ENERGY STAR® certification and met BEPP requirements through the performance-based compliance pathway, eliminating the need for prescriptive building tune-up measures.
