Overview

ReVireo delivered comprehensive Commissioning (Cx) and Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) services for AURA LIC, a 35-story multifamily luxury residence encompassing approximately 235,000 square feet in Long Island City, New York.

Engaged by The Albanese Organization during the construction phase, ReVireo provided full commissioning services in accordance with the 2020 New York City Energy Conservation Code (NYC ECC) commissioning requirements. Early involvement allowed ReVireo to support seamless system integration, identify issues proactively, and help ensure compliance prior to project closeout.

ReVireo’s commissioning scope included detailed installation verification and rigorous functional performance testing of key building systems, including:

  • Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) with energy recovery
  • Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs)
  • Split-system Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems
  • Standby emergency generator
  • Electric unit heaters
  • Domestic hot water systems
  • Integrated lighting control systems

In addition to commissioning services, ReVireo reviewed and verified Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) performance within the building’s common areas to confirm airflow, comfort, and system performance aligned with design intent.

The successful completion of this boutique project demonstrates how code-compliant, high-performance building systems elevate operational efficiency, occupant comfort, and long-term reliability, delivering lasting value to both owners and building residents.
