  • New Jersey DCA Adopted 2015 Energy Code on Sept. 21, 2015

UPDATE:  This article has been updated to reflect the 9/21/2015 adoption of the 2015 Energy Code for NJ.

ReVireo has learned that the NJDCA has adopted the 2015 Energy Code as of Sept. 21, 2015.  This date marks the beginning of a 6 month grace period in which the design professional will have the option of using either the new 2015 code, or previously adopted 2009 code.

Beginning MARCH 21, 2016, the 2015 Energy Code would be enforced for all new permits.

Please note, the new code was adopted with a modification making air leakage (Blower Door) testing OPTIONAL.

Please refer to our updated 2015 Energy Code Guide we’ve created HERE, to help you prepare for the new code changes.

In the coming months, ReVireo will be scheduling various webinars and seminars, to help builders and trades prepare for the 2015 Energy Code requirements.  If you’re interested in ReVireo presenting at your office or scheduling a private webinar, please feel free to contact us at (888) 568-5459.
